A Box Story
Kenneth Kit Lamug
Every parent has had that experience where they bought their kid an expensive toy and the kid liked the box better. For some reason, kids (and cats) love boxes. Where we see an empty box, they see possibilities.
Based upon that collective box experience, I knew instantly that this book would interest parents. Obviously, it caught my eye. Still, I wasn’t sure how that would translate to kids. Would a story about boxes have that same magic?
I shouldn’t have worried. Although there was complete silence as I read the first time, after I finished there was a spontaneous conversation about boxes. My grandson told me all about what was in his boxes and how they were organized. In the process, I actually learned a bit about how he thinks.
